Painting is by nature a luminous language. My name is Natalie Nauta Curquejo. I am the owner/artist Natalie Nauta Art Gallery.
My journey in finding myself as an artist started when I moved to Miami in 1998. Ever since I can remember I admired artists and creative individuals .I never thought I would be creating art myself. My favorite course in Graduate School of psychology was Art therapy. I am very inspired by the colors I see in nature And the different colors of the oceans that surround us.
My paintings often have tropical Themes and colors . I am also thrilled to be working on my new abstract collection. which will create Peace and calmness in any ambience . My works can be seen in various hotels in the Caribbean including the brand new Marriott hotel in the island of Curacao .
Natalies’art occupies the ephemeral space between realism and abstraction, between dream and wakefulness. She reconnects you to memories that evoke serenity and peace. Natalies’journey as an artist started when she moved to Miami in 1998.
She was deeply inspired by the natural beauty and complexity of the coastal region and the bodies of water that surround it. Her work is a dialogue of light, shadow, and energy followed by the incorporation of opaque textures and transparent layers. Her form of creativity opens itself to fresh interpretations and perpetual reimagining. Each time you look at one of her pieces, the experience is different.
